2015 has been the year of the viral trend. We saw a 70’s revival in UK bohemian chic, complete with flared denim and suede everything, but specifically the front-button A-line mini. To my personal delight, androgynous minimalism persisted, in footwear with the mule and slide, and also in the return of the pocketed trouser. The belles of street style incited drama with monochromatic layers of vibrant shades in flamingo¬†and vermillion. Sporty casual and matching separates made a lovely merger, and I’ll be damned if I didn’t search for hours for the perfect pleated chiffon midi skirt. This year we’re paying tribute to some of our favorite trends on the block, recap-ing 2015 street style with illustrations by Erika Frondorf. Happy New Year Everyone!

A highlight of Spring street style in 2015, layered monochrome officially became a thing. Vermillion looks made a huge splash, but we prefer this pillowy pink version.

The best minimalism seems to be coming from Canada these days, with bloggers like Elif Filyos and Vanessa Hong.

The Adidas shell toe sneakers make a serious comeback this year. Sneakers paired with a midi skirt has always been a street style staple for the girl on the go, but this year, a sultry meets athletic version spawned, and we're all about it.
